Beast of Bray Road Conference 2021
Saturday, October 2, 2021
9 am to 6 pm
With a soft rustle of the corn stalks it appeared, 7 ft. tall, pointed ears, fangs glinting in the moonlight. I say it stepped out of the tall corn on two legs and turned it's baleful yellow gaze upon me. Frozen where I stood, my dry throat croaked, "Good...doggie..?"

Tobias & Emily Wayland
Tobias Wayland is a passionate fortean who has been actively investigating the unusual for over a decade; the first several years of his investigative career were spent as a MUFON field investigator, and following that he investigated independently prior to becoming the head writer and editor for the Singular Fortean Society. Tobias is a frequent guest on various podcasts and radio shows, has contributed to several books on the paranormal, and is often invited to speak at paranormal conferences and events. He was also featured in the Small Town Monsters documentary Terror in the Skies and the series premiere of Expedition X for his work investigating Mothman sightings around Lake Michigan. He and his wife Emily have been involved with the Lake Michigan Mothman investigation since its advent in the spring of 2017, and recently published a book chronicling the experience, The Lake Michigan Mothman: High Strangeness in the Midwest.
His years as an investigator have served him best by illustrating that when it comes to the anomalous, the preternatural, and the paranormal, any answers he's found are still hopelessly outnumbered by questions.
Emily Wayland is an ardent craftsperson and devoted monster enthusiast with degrees in both photography and design. An accomplished artist, designer, and photographer, Emily is responsible not only for the Singular Fortean Society's aesthetic, but also the examination of any photographic or video evidence. Emily’s art and designs have been featured in various paranormal art shows around the Minneapolis area, as well as in the ‘Chicago Mothman’ portion of the Small Town Monsters documentary Terror in the Skies. She and her husband Tobias have been involved with the Lake Michigan Mothman investigation since its advent in the spring of 2017, and recently published a book chronicling the experience, The Lake Michigan Mothman: High Strangeness in the Midwest.
Her lifetime love affair with monsters of all varieties has led her to pursue them in real life, and she hopes that her expertise in photography will help her capture one—at least on film
Jump on this unique opportunity to have your mind blown. Just a stone's throw from Bray Road, Lee Hampel owns a hay farm that is rife with high strangeness so bizarre that it brings to mind the Skinwalker Ranch. Unlike the grossly truncated versions presented on programs like Expedition X and others, there is actually a far larger and massively freakier story. We have been there first hand. Lee gave us a tour and showed us the most shocking trail cam images and videos we've ever seen. He related accounts that left us reeling. All we can say is, you have GOT to see this. And you can. Lee has kindly offered to host a tour of his farm, where he will take you on a hayride around the property (weather permitting) and afterward, in the comfort of his barn, give a video presentation that will blow your mind.
Seating is very limited, so buy your ticket now for just an additional $10 fee.
Steve Ward has been fascinated by the unexplained for over half a century following two major events that inspired his interest in the unexplained. Growing up in Michigan, the March 1966 UFO flap occurred virtually in his backyard. The following November a winged humanoid chased two couples down a lonely country road near Point Pleasant, West Virginia. The legend of the Mothman was born. Steve would be chasing the Mothman the rest of his life and gave him his perspective of areas of “high strangeness" or "window areas". Steve has his own podcast on The Paranormal UK Radio Network called The High Strangeness Factor & can be heard as a correspondent on Mack Maloney's Military X-Files on that same network. He has a Facebook Page called The Phantom Menagerie. He also has a chapter on the Mothman in, "Weird Winged Wonders" & in "Mothman & Other Flying Creatures of the Midwest”. He is writing a book which will deal with the underlying parallels & patterns that link different aspects of the paranormal together.
